Indonesian Pavilion to launch during Indonesia Week in the Markthal Rotterdam

Den Haag, November 7 2016, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands officially opened the Indonesian Pavilion in the Markthal Rotterdam on 7 November 2016. The Pavilion will be open to the public during Indonesia Week, which will be held between 7-13 November 2016.

The Indonesian Pavilion is part of the "We Love Asia – Indonesia Week" initiative by Wah Nam Hong Supermarket. Every week a different Asian country is highlighted by the supermarket.

The theme of Indonesia week is "Culinary Adventure with Pavilion Indonesia". The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia generously supports this event by displaying products of Indonesia at the Indonesian Pavilion. High quality Indonesian products of international standards will be displayed during the week by the following companies:

Pavilion Indonesia aims at introducing Indonesian products present in the Netherlands to the local community, as well as providing a platform to promote Indonesia in the Netherlands. It is expected that the demand for Indonesian products will increase through this effort. Future opportunities to increase the market share of Indonesian products in other European countries may also be realized through this event.

In addition to the display of products, specialty dishes of Indonesian chefs living in Europe will also be introduced and sold in the restaurant Wah Nam Hong. Furthermore, there will be cultural performances showing the rich Indonesian culture heritage.
